Description
As a Manager in the Packaging Department in India, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of packaging operations. Your responsibilities will include managing continuous improvement initiatives, coordinating job-related activities, supporting packaging production, supervising and developing associates, overseeing packaging copy content, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. You will be responsible for driving packaging innovation by identifying cost reduction opportunities, refining business processes for maximum efficiency, staying updated on industry standards, managing packaging solutions for distribution automation, and collaborating with key stakeholders to address packaging issues proactively. In addition, you will be tasked with appointing packaging resources, analyzing key metrics, advising on cost estimates, negotiating costs with suppliers, and ensuring high-quality packaging production. Your role will also involve developing packaging copy content for Members Mark, collaborating with design teams, managing copy projects, and establishing communication objectives for the brand. Furthermore, you will need to resolve packaging content issues, develop external communications to ensure global packaging specifications compliance, and work closely with cross-functional teams to meet Walmart standards. Key skills required for this role include packaging and labeling, process improvement, continuous improvement process, packaging quality, structure design, and communication. Travel may be required internationally for this role. The ideal candidate for this position should have a Bachelor's degree in Packaging, English, or a related field, along with at least 10 years of experience in the packaging industry, branding, packaging design/structure, retail, or a related area. A Master's degree and specific experience in furniture packaging, Microsoft Office, and supervisory roles are preferred qualifications for this role.
