Maintain a live HR Compliance Calendar and statutory registers/records; ensure on-time filings, remittances, and renewals across all locations.
Monitor evolving regulations (central/state), upcoming Labour Codes, DPDP Act (data privacy), and ensure timely impact assessment and implementation.
Ensure compliant payroll operations: maker-checker controls, data validation, off-cycle payment governance, F&F calculations, statutory reconciliations, and year-end activities.

  1. CLRA & Contract Workforce Compliance:
Discharge Principal Employer responsibilities: registrations, Form V (as applicable), contractor onboarding, license validity, and statutory records.
Review contractor wage compliance, minimum wages adherence, muster/attendance, and timely statutory remittances (PF/ESI/PT/LWF).
File/track periodic CLRA returns and ensure site-level compliance documentation is maintained and auditable.

  1. Self-Audit & Controls Testing:
Design and run periodic self-audits and control testing for HR processes (payroll, time & attendance, F&F, access/SoD, employee data changes, BGV, PoSH).
Provide findings and recommendations; drive corrective actions and process improvements with owners.

  1. Vendor Compliance & Governance:
Set up and manage a robust vendor compliance delivery framework with staffing/payroll/benefits/admin vendors.
Define SLAs/KPIs, right-to-audit clauses, compliance documentation packets, and monthly/quarterly certifications.
Conduct vendor compliance reviews and risk scoring; drive remediation and, if needed, escalation/blacklisting.

  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Finance (recons, payroll accounting, audits), Legal (contracts, notices, policy), Compliance/GRC (controls, policies), Procurement (vendor onboarding), Security/IT (access/identity), and Internal Audit.

  1. Policy, Governance & Risk Management:
Maintain and update HR policies/SOPs to reflect regulatory changes and best practices; ensure employee communication.
Ensure PoSH governance: IC constitution, training/awareness, annual reports to District Officer, and record-keeping.
Manage HR risk register, assess control effectiveness, and implement mitigations; support BCP for compliance continuity.

  1. Documentation, Reporting & Enablement:
Publish monthly HR Compliance Dashboard (filings, audit status, vendor scorecards, incidents/notices, risks).
Conduct compliance training/awareness for HR, managers, and vendors.
Ensure secure retention and disposal of HR records per DPDP Act, company policy, and audit standards.
