Role: - Oracle practice Manager

Location: - Hyderabad (Hybrid)

Mode of hiring/Duration: - Permanent

Report to: - Chief Operating Officer

Compensation: - Fixed + Variable + Benefits

A senior leadership role responsible for the overall success and growth of a company's Oracle practice.

This role is highly strategic and requires a combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and strong people management skills.

The Practice Manager typically manages the three main pillars of a practice: people management, portfolio/delivery management, and sales enablement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the overall strategy for the Oracle practice, including growth plans
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align the practice's goals with the company's broader business objectives
  • Drive innovation and thought leadership, staying current on Oracle trends, emerging technologies (e.g., Oracle Cloud, SaaS, PaaS), and best practices
  • Build, mentor, and lead a team of Oracle consultants, developers, and delivery professionals
  • Manage resource allocation across multiple projects to ensure optimal utilization and successful project delivery
  • Develop a competency framework for the team, track skills, and certifications, and identify training needs
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies and increase the practice's visibility
  • Review deal proposals, provide strategic input, and participate in client meetings and proposal defense
  • Act as a project director, attending steering committee meetings for key projects and maintaining a positive reputation with clients
  • Manage the practice's profit and loss (P&L) or financial/expense management
  • Develop pricing estimates and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) models for services

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle products and technologies, including Oracle Cloud (SaaS, PaaS), Oracle E-Business Suite, and other applications (e.g., HCM, ERP, EPM).
  • Strong managerial and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse professionals.
  • A strong understanding of business processes, financial metrics, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills with a proven ability to manage senior stakeholders.
  • Expertise in delivering Oracle projects, with a track record of managing scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Graduate with 5-10+ years of experience in delivering Oracle ERP projects, and 5+ years are experience of managing Oracle practice in enterprise services companies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation skills
