Role & responsibilities

The Operations Manager is one of the first few positions we plan to hire to help us hire the best people, engage, enable and build a great team and culture. They would be part of the leadership team reporting to the CEO. They would be the Operations partner to the leadership team and the go to person for all matters related to Operations.

They will build strong Safety, Process and talent vitality with scalable talents to enable rapid growth, in alignment with the Business Strategy.

They would be highly competent in the following areas but not limited to them.

Build Team: They will build a great team by hiring, onboarding and developing them to be A players of scalable talents, who could scale with a fast-growing business and organization.

Culture Champion: They will role model behaviour and build a culture of high values, performance, trust and inclusion. They will ensure that the leadership team embrace the culture and be the role models as well.

Employee Health & Safety: They will not only establish the norms and standards but would ensure its practice and compliance.

Operations: They will be responsible to build the infrastructure, process and deliver outstanding service to our customers. They will build the following capabilities within operations:

Sourcing & Supply Chain: They will hire top talents, set up the function and process to onboard high-quality vendors on the platform. Partners selection, negotiation and onboarding process.

Inventory Management & Logistics: Ste up the warehouse for large number of SKUs with infrastructure and latest systems. Hire, train and onboard top talents to set up Inventory management and logistics function completely from ground up. Holistically set up the infrastructure, process, systems and partnerships to operate efficiently & lean and at the same time deliver outstanding experience to our customers. Should be able to scale rapidly along with the business.

Customer Service: Set up customer service function from scratch with people, process and system to respond to customer queries and complaints and resolve their grievances to their satisfaction.

Preferred candidate profile

Education: Engineer with Masters in operations management/ supply chain management

Lean: Proficient is Lean tools and ability to set up efficient and effective systems and process.

Experience: 5 to 7 years in a Manufacturing/ B2B Industrial enterprise.
