Roles and Responsibilities

• assist in preparing the operation theatre by ensuring all necessary equipment and instruments are sterilized and organized.
• support surgical procedures by passing instruments to surgeons and maintaining an organized work environment.
• implement infection control protocols to minimize the risk of contamination and infection.
• ensure accurate patient preparation, including verifying patient identity, surgical site, and consent.
• coordinate with the surgical team before, during, and after procedures to ensure efficient workflow.
• monitor and maintain inventory of surgical instruments and supplies, reporting any shortage or malfunctions.
• assist with patient positioning and draping to ensure comfort and access during surgery.
• provide post-operative assistance in cleaning and setting up the operation theatre for upcoming surgeries.
