Job Description

A Fleet Operations role focuses on the efficient and cost-effective management of a company's vehicle fleet. This includes tasks like vehicle maintenance, driver management, route planning, fuel management, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Effective fleet operations are crucial for minimizing costs, maximizing productivity, and maintaining a safe and reliable transportation system. Vehicle Management: Overseeing the acquisition, registration, licensing, and maintenance of vehicles, including scheduling routine maintenance and repairs. Driver Management: Recruiting, training, and managing drivers, ensuring they adhere to company policies and safety regulations. Fuel Management: Monitoring fuel consumption, implementing strategies for fuel efficiency, and managing fuel costs. Compliance: Ensuring that all vehicles and drivers comply with relevant transportation laws and safety regulations Emergency Response: Handling accidents, breakdowns, and other emergencies involving the fleet. Communication Skills: Effective communication with drivers, mechanics, vendors, and other stakeholders Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate and manage a team of drivers and other personnel. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to vehicles, drivers, and operations.
