About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Engineer for our Solar Power Plant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day performance of the solar facility, ensuring optimal operation, managing the installation process, and maintaining battery systems to the highest safety and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and support the installation and commissioning of solar panels, electrical connections, and associated hardware.

Manage and perform preventive and corrective maintenance for solar PV systems, batteries, and related equipment.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues in solar arrays, inverters, and battery storage systems.

Monitor plant performance using SCADA/data loggers; analyze and generate performance and downtime reports.

Ensure compliance with all safety standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.

Maintain detailed maintenance records for batteries, panels, and system components.

Qualifications

Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.

Hands-on experience in solar panel installation and battery systems (lead-acid, lithium-ion preferred).

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability for electrical/electronic systems.

Good understanding of safety standards (IEC, NEC, OSHA, etc.).

Effective communication and organizational skills.

Nice to Have

Certification in Solar PV Installation/Maintenance (e.g., NABCEP or regional equivalent).

Experience with battery management systems and backup power design.
