NPD Program Manager – Engineering & Procurement

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Science with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to collaborate and manage global stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience in the New Product Development (NPD) process with the ability to gather and analyze data from Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and Materials functions (e.g., BOM and parts status).
• Background working in a diversified industrial company across functions such as Procurement, NPD, Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Finance, or Operations.
• Exposure to supplier development, supplier quality, and materials management (preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar systems.
• Experience with Oracle ERP and Project Portfolio Management (PPM) systems in a global environment is an advantage.
  

Key Responsibilities

• Act as Project Planner for New Product Development, Productivity, and Continuous Improvement projects.
• Develop and execute pilot build plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams and by applying standard work practices.
• Coordinate and order prototype parts as per the Bill of Materials (BOM), working with category teams, materials, operations, engineering, finance, quality, and field operations to meet project timelines.
• Monitor active pilot builds (through PFEP), track progress, update status, and escalate issues to the Project Manager as needed.
• Manage and report procurement financial metrics (forecast vs actuals) to the Project Manager and PMO Leader.
• Maintain and update Project Portfolio Management (PPM) system with project cost forecasts.
• Track and project schedule and cost variations across different stages of the project (planned vs actual).
