As a NOC Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the availability, performance, and reliability of enterprise infrastructure and applications. You will monitor systems, respond to alerts, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain seamless operations. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your proactive problem-solving and technical expertise directly impact service continuity. Accountabilities
- Monitor and support production systems and applications using diagnostic and monitoring tools
- Perform first-level analysis of issues, track alerts, and collaborate with IT teams to resolve problems efficiently
- Manage batch jobs, troubleshoot failures, and assess impact on production schedules
- Escalate and coordinate with support groups, service owners, vendors, and third-party providers to ensure uninterrupted service
- Work proactively with application, system, database, and network teams to optimize performance and improve operational workflows
- Maintain and update system documentation, run-books, and knowledge base articles
- Create and manage daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics and reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or similar production environment
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving in 24x7 production systems (SaaS/web)
- Experience with Linux command line and scripting
- Knowledge of database management and application stacks
- Hands-on experience with web/application servers such as Apache Tomcat or IIS
- Understanding of basic network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP) and utilities (Telnet, SSH, CURL)
- Familiarity with Incident and Problem Management tools
- Strong communication skills, time management, and ability to handle multiple tasks independently
- Flexible schedule and willingness to support operations as required
