New Product Development Specialist

Role Overview

New Product Development (NPD) professional

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Development & Innovation

• Drive

  end-to-end NPD lifecycle

  from concept to commercialization
• Develop new

  fragrance formats

  (EDP, EDT, Extrait, mists, gift sets, discovery kits)
• Translate brand briefs and market insights into

  product concepts and briefs

2. Fragrance Development

• Work closely with

  fragrance houses and perfumers

  to develop olfactive profiles
• Coordinate fragrance evaluations, trials, stability testing, and iterations
• Maintain fragrance libraries, blotter evaluations, and internal reviews

3. Packaging Development

• Lead development of

  primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging

• Coordinate with packaging vendors on design, feasibility, costing, and timelines
• Ensure packaging meets

  aesthetic, functional, sustainability, and regulatory requirements

4. International Regulatory & Compliance

• Ensure products comply with

  IFRA, EU, US (FDA), GCC, and other international regulations

• Coordinate with regulatory consultants for documentation, MSDS, COA, and registrations
• Ensure correct ingredient declarations, labeling, and claims

5. Costing, Timelines & Vendor Management

• Own

  product costing, BOM, and margin targets

• Manage development timelines and critical paths
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure on-time launches

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with

  Brand, Marketing, Supply Chain, Quality, Legal, and Sales

  teams
• Support GTM planning with accurate product information and timelines
• Assist in post-launch reviews and continuous product improvements

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of

  fragrance development and olfactive families

• Knowledge of

  international regulatory frameworks (IFRA, EU, US, GCC)

• Experience in

  vendor management, costing, and timelines

• Detail-oriented with strong project management skills
• Ability to balance creativity with commercial feasibility

Preferred Background

• Experience in

  Perfume / Beauty / Personal Care / FMCG

  brands
• Exposure to

  international markets and exports

• Degree in

  Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Engineering, or related field

• MBA is a plus
