Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and market-savvy New Product Development (NPD) professional to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of launching new products — from ideation, research, and formulation to packaging, pricing, and market launch. You will work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, design, operations, supply chain) to ensure timely delivery of innovative and commercially successful products.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Ideation & Concept Development

  • Research fragrance trends, consumer insights, competitor offerings, and emerging raw materials.
  • Identify gaps in the market and propose new product ideas aligned with the brand’s vision.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop product concepts, mood boards, and positioning.

2. Formulation & Sourcing

  • Work with fragrance houses, suppliers, and formulators to develop and test product prototypes.
  • Evaluate fragrance notes, performance, and quality against brand standards.
  • Source raw materials, ingredients, and packaging components, ensuring compliance with quality and sustainability guidelines.

3. Project Management

  • Manage the NPD process from concept to launch, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Create and maintain NPD calendars, track project milestones, and flag potential risks.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (designers, manufacturers, co-packers).

4. Packaging & Branding

  • Oversee packaging design, ensuring it aligns with the brand’s aesthetic and functional needs.
  • Approve packaging samples and conduct usability and durability tests.

5. Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all products comply with relevant cosmetic regulations and safety requirements.
  • Conduct and document stability and compatibility testing.

6. Launch & Post-Launch

  • Support marketing in creating product launch stories and promotional material.
  • Monitor product performance, customer feedback, and suggest improvements or future iterations.

Key Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience in product development (preferably in fragrances, cosmetics, or personal care).

Strong understanding of fragrance composition, raw materials, and packaging processes.

Excellent project management, organizational, and time-management skills.

Creative thinker with an eye for trends and consumer preferences.

Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Familiarity with cosmetic regulations and product safety standards.
