Network Operations Center Engineer

As a NOC Engineer at our company, you will be the first point of contact for all customer queries, providing the initial level of service. You will be part of the 24x7 infrastructure surveillance team, ensuring maximum service availability and performance for Managed Infrastructure Services. Your role will involve working from the office with shift times ranging from 5:30AM - 2:30PM, 1:30PM - 10:30PM, and 9:30PM - 6:30PM. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage and maintain the Monitoring Systems - Handle fault identification and escalation, liaising with 3rd party suppliers for issue resolution - Respond to user-reported issues within defined time frames - Provision customer network services on core equipment - Assist in server build and installs, application upgrades, and network equipment installations - Maintain hardware serial audits and configure bespoke graphing - Update and maintain technical documentation and WIKI for processes and procedures - Participate in a 24x7 shift and support call-out rota when required - Utilize ITIL standards for event and incident management - Analyze customer data reports daily and escalate as needed - Assign cases to appropriate queues after analysis - Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with minimal supervision - Work with various IT tools and systems including trouble-ticketing and service management systems **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/training and experience (MS Certifications preferred) - Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with people - Basic Linux CLI and sysadmin skills - Strong analytical skills and data interpretation abilities - Familiarity with monitoring tools like PRTG, SolarWinds, or Nagios - ITIL V3 Certification is a plus **Additional Company Details:** - Actively participate in support opportunities across the organization - Contribute to the skill development of colleagues and the corporate knowledge base - Follow agile/lean practices for efficient workflow **Desired Skills:** - Virtualization and Cloud Computing Exposure - Prior experience in a NOC environment and global support is advantageous **Professional Skills:** - Positive team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Quick learner who can adapt to new environments easily Your role as a NOC Engineer will be crucial in maintaining the high service standards and ensuring smooth operations for our Managed Infrastructure Services.,
