Technical aspect of project implementation and running of the entire network.

Network troubleshooting and guide for resolution of the problem.

Configuration and trouble shooting of all types of WAN-links.

Helping to locate issue in LAN/Hotline/IP-Telephony/WLAN etc. and assist in its resolution.

Network Changes – vetting changes in existing routers/switch/SLB configurations etc.

Maintain, suggest and implement routing patterns and policies on the Network.

Should have working experience and expertise in routers, switches, load balancer, QoS design, IPSec, ACLs, Cisco-ACS, Cisco-LMS etc. and other networking equipments.

Centralized Management of Router configuration, inventory and IP address maintenance.

Assigning access level to L1/Network resources.

The L2 engineer should be well versed with various routing protocols like BGP, EIGRP, OSPF etc.

Trouble shooting and debugging of problems, if any

He/she should have good knowledge of layer 4 protocols like TCP and UDP also.

QOS / Access list etc designing and implementation in consultation with LIC Network team

Network Policy designing in consultation with LIC Network team

Upgradation of existing routers IOS and troubleshooting.

Liaison with the field personal/channel partners/service-providers for prompts resolution of problems and ensures best site-uptimes and net- uptimes.

Maintenance of all-India Load-Balancers (ACE), Cisco-WAAS tools (WAN optimization tools) and Call-Managers for IP-Telephony setup.

Escalations of unresolved issues to off-site L3 engineer(s) and follow up till resolution of the issue(s).

Assist LIC and provide technical help/support for feasibility study and implementation of subsequent up gradation/changes in the network setup.

Ensure proper functioning of network and Overall SLA management.

Integration of networking equipments with Cisco-ACS (AAA server), Cisco- LMS/Prime and other tools that LIC may deploy in future and its maintenance.

Update call status in the ticketing system installed by LIC and periodic reporting.
