Job Description

Critical Skills to Possess:

Strong understanding of
TCP/IP
,
OSPF
,
BGP
,
EIGRP
,
VLAN
,
STP
,
HSRP/VRRP
, and subnetting.
4?8 years of hands-on experience with
Cisco routers/switches
(Catalyst/Nexus, ISR/ASR series).
Proven expertise with
Palo Alto Networks firewalls
, including
Panorama
,
App-ID
,
URL filtering
,
threat protection
, and
VPNs (IPSec/GlobalProtect)
.
Experience with
network ACLs, NAT, port forwarding
, and
zone-based security models
.
Familiarity with ITSM tools like
ServiceNow, Remedy
, or
Jira Service Desk
.

Preferred Qualifications:

Cisco CCNP Enterprise
or equivalent certification.
Palo Alto PCNSE (Network Security Engineer)
or similar certification.
Experience working in a 24x7 NOC or MSP environment.
Exposure to
cloud networking (AWS VPCs, Azure VNets)
and hybrid connectivity (VPN, ExpressRoute, DirectConnect).

Preferred Qualifications:

BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience

Roles and Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

Monitor and support enterprise
LAN/WAN infrastructure
using tools like
SolarWinds, NetFlow, PRTG, or Cisco Prime
.
Perform L2/L3 troubleshooting for incidents involving
routing, switching, link failures, port security, VLAN misconfiguration
, etc.
Manage configurations and changes on
Cisco Catalyst/Nexus switches
,
Cisco ISR/ASR routers
, and
Palo Alto NGFWs
.
Perform periodic backup, restoration, and firmware upgrades on networking devices.
Analyze network logs, packet captures (using
Wireshark/tcpdump
) for traffic analysis and root cause.
Support access control policies, NAT rules, VPN configurations, and threat prevention on
Palo Alto firewalls
.
Coordinate with ISPs and other vendors for link issues and circuit provisioning.
Participate in change management, incident response, and problem resolution workflows following ITIL practices.
Document network diagrams, device inventory, configurations, and SOPs.
