A growing player in the Telecommunications & Cloud Communications sector delivering managed voice, contact-center and enterprise connectivity solutions. We operate multi-tenant, high-availability networks and need a hands-on Network Security Engineer to secure and scale on-premise and edge network infrastructure.This is an on-site role in India requiring proven FortiGate expertise and Fortinet certification.Role & Responsibilities

Design, deploy and operate FortiGate NGFWs: implement firewall policies, IPS/IDS tuning, NAT, and application control to protect enterprise networks.
Configure and maintain secure VPNs (IPSec & SSL VPN), site-to-site and remote access, and troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues.
Manage HA clusters and FortiGate firmware lifecycle: perform upgrades, backups, patching and recovery planning with minimal downtime.
Integrate and administer FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer for centralized configuration, policy orchestration, logging and security analytics.
Collaborate with NOC, Cloud and Infrastructure teams to implement routing (BGP/OSPF), switching (VLANs, L2/L3) and network segmentation for multi-tenant environments.
Perform hands-on incident response and root-cause analysis, produce clear runbooks, diagrams and operational documentation; contribute to continuous improvement and automation efforts.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

FortiGate certification mandatory (NSE4 or higher); proven hands-on FortiGate configuration experience.
3+ years in network engineering / network security with deep practical knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, routing and switching.
Strong CLI skills, packet-level troubleshooting (tcpdump/Wireshark), and working knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, NAT, QoS.
Experience implementing HA, clustering and performing firmware upgrades/patch management in production.

Preferred

Experience with FortiManager / FortiAnalyzer, FortiSandbox and other Fortinet ecosystem tools.
Familiarity with automation/scripting (Ansible, Python), cloud networking fundamentals and managed services/NOC operations.
