Responsibilities

Design and implementation of a new event based backend application

Design and implementation of supporting frontend application

The application is mission critical for SD Worx Belgium and will require high throughput and 24/7 reliability. The entire stack must be designed and built for performance, quality, testability and scalability.

Design and integration of REST API

Creation of continuous integration and deployment (CICD) pipelines

Skills

At least more than five year experience with:

ASP.NET MVC CORE framework, or a relevant frontend technology

C# back end programming language

Queuing and eventing mechanisms, such as nServicebus

Database design and management, including being up on the latest practices and associated versions

Azure DevOps & Cloud Services

Entity Framework

CSS preprocessors

Integrate with data storage solutions such as SQL Server or DB2.

Thorough understanding of user experience and possibly even product strategy

Experience implementing testing platforms and unit tests

Proficiency with Git or another version control system as required

Collaborate with product owner, designers, and other developers to define project requirements and specifications.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Appreciation for clean and well documented code

Mandatory Skills

✔️ Strong experience with ASP.NET Core MVC framework (or relevant frontend technology)

✔️ Proficient in C# backend development

✔️ Experience with queuing and eventing mechanisms (e.g., nServiceBus)

✔️ Expertise in database design and management (SQL Server or DB2)

✔️ Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and Azure Cloud Services

✔️ Familiarity with CSS preprocessors (e.g., SASS, LESS)

✔️ Ability to design and integrate REST APIs

✔️ Experience creating CI/CD pipelines

✔️ Skilled in unit testing and testing platforms

✔️ Understanding of user experience (UX) principles and possibly product strategy
