Job Description

Purpose of the role:


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of sales strategies and implement plans for BU products in line with overall BU strategy
  • Lead the execution of marketing strategies to support sales as well as product positioning and branding
  • Plan and deploy appropriate sales and business models to achieve strategic intent
  • Monitor BU sales and marketing activities to ensure that they are legally and ethically compliant in line with regulatory, local, and BSV policies
  • Coordinate with business support to drive primary and secondary market research and collate market and competitive data to support development of strategic plans
  • Monitor the establishment of plans like the Field Coverage Plan, Sales and Prescription Reporting Plans, Sales Incentive Plan etc. and execution of planned marketing strategies and consumer and customer loyalty programs
  • Drive process automation/ improvement initiatives to enhance sales force effectiveness
  • Identify and nurture key external and internal stakeholder requirements especially KOLs and KBLs
  • Agree and align the BU Sales team around principles and behaviors that will be demonstrated and applied while dealing with internal and external stakeholders in a collaborative and authentic manner
  • Proactively offer help and support to stakeholders and build goodwill and currency with them
  • Lead the generation of relevant and accurate data/reports for efficient Leadership decision making process
  • Identify staffing and capability requirements for the team
  • Systematically allocate tasks, review performance, encourage initiatives and recognize good work
  • Plan and oversee capability building in both functional and managerial dimensions of the team
  • Take charge of building an engaged and high performing workforce in BU Sales team.
  • Champion the involvement from BU sales team to create impact, and improve efficiency of strategic initiatives towards organization transformation


Requisite for the role:

  • 15+ years of sales and marketing experience, out of which 8+ years of leadership experience in different therapeutic areas within Pharma industry. Preferable experience will be in Wound care, burn care, oncology, super specialty.
  • Post-graduate in Pharmaceutical Management or/and Sales & Marketing Management.
  • Should have handled Pan India Sales leadership role.
