Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Leadership:

  • Lead and manage the sales team to achieve sales targets and objectives across the national territory.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans and initiatives to drive revenue growth and market penetration.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze sales data, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  1. Relationship Building:

  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with Key Business Leaders and Key Opinion Leaders in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Represent the company and promote our products effectively to key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, hospitals, and clinics.
  1. Team Motivation and Development:

  • Motivate, coach, and mentor the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to enhance their sales skills and performance.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the sales team.
  1. Institutional Sales:


  • Drive institutional sales by identifying and targeting key accounts, including hospitals, healthcare facilities, and government institutions.
  • Develop and implement tailored sales strategies to meet the unique needs and requirements of institutional customers.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with institutional clients to secure business partnerships and maximize sales opportunities.
  1. Brand Launch and Promotion:

  • Lead the launch of new brands in the oncology segment, including planning and execution of promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Medical Affairs teams to develop effective marketing strategies and promotional materials.
  • Ensure brand positioning and influence in the market through strategic promotional activities.
  1. Team Development:

  • Recruit, on-board, and train new sales team members as needed to support business growth.
  • Develop succession plans and talent pipelines to ensure continuity and scalability of the sales team.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the sales team.

Qualifications:

  • B.Pharm, M.Pharm degree or equivalent qualification in pharmaceutical sales or related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred. 
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role in Oncology Division.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving targets in the pharmaceutical industry (Oncology Division).
  • Excellent understanding of the region, doctors, chemists, Institutional influencers etc. and had good relation with them.
  • Exceptional understanding of sales and marketing principles within the oncology domain, coupled with the ability to develop and execute highly effective integrated strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement sales strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical market, especially in the oncology segment.
