Multi Commodity Buyer

Role & responsibilities

Multi-Commodity Buyer will be responsible for purchasing products like Electronic components, connectors, cable assemblies, with a special focus on connectors, copper wires, and wire harness.

• Should be able to handle end to end cycle from vendor selection to procurement and then payment.
• Develop and implement strategies for buying commodities from supplier.
• Identify and develop potential vendors at international & domestic level for the right sourcing and achieving cost effective procurement.
• Implementing cost saving measures to achieve cost-reduction
• Coordinate with R&D and ensuring the timely development of new product.
• Should have working knowledge of global logistics.
• Knowledge of Planning and inventory management
• Should be able to manage the Ordering & Delivery Management
• Should be able to build relationship with vendor.
• Responsible and accountable for product safety and the quality of work, including, as a minimum, all elements defined in the Companys Quality Policy.
• Interface between suppliers and operational team to resolve any issues with the product supplied.
• Evaluate and improve costing techniques.

Required Skills (Functional & Behavioral Skills)

• 3-6 Years of experience of material management / Procurement / sourcing
• Proven working experience as a purchasing agent or officer in the electrical contracting industry.
• Qualification B.Tech (Electronics/ Electrical)
• Working knowledge of SAP a
• nd advanced excel is must.
• Commercial Knowledge is must like payment terms, INCO terms etc.
• Result-oriented professional with high degree of Integrity having rich exposure.
• Strong interpersonal skills and relation building with suppliers service providers, authorities and internal customers
• Good Communication Skills
• Strong Negotiation Skills.

• Command proficiency in commodities and buying processes and update as required.

The candidate should be from EMS/ Telecom equipment manufacturing or other Electronic equipment manufacturing sector who excels in buying active and passive components
