Role Summary/Purpose Works on Agile projects that require an in-depth knowledge on RMD suite of applications. Will be responsible for writing and running test automation using a variety of latest technologies as well as executing test plans for every release. The candidate will be responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of automated solutions and quality initiatives for Remote Monitoring and Diagnostics platform at Wabtec. Essential Responsibilities Design and develop test strategy for test cases based on functional and design specifications for requirements. Design and develop automation suites using Java, Junit, TestNG and Selenium. Execute test cases, analyze and reporting test results to product teams. Work closely with the development team to analyze, debug, and resolve issues. Participate in product functional reviews, test specifications, documentation review. Responsible for test creation testing a large module or a large component and designing a feature, set of features. Manage deliverables and mentor junior team members. Contribute in driving initiatives such as defining coding standards and processes to ensure quality code is produced. Develop and enhance the test infrastructure and continuous integration framework used across teams. Determine testing best practices and principals and promotes them across the organization. Expert in developing and executing maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases. Skilled in integrating project testing with continuous-integration process. Works with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions. As an expert in the quality engineering, manages test plans and testing methodology for software projects. Uses test automation techniques (data driven, pairwise, mocking, test hooks) that fit the problem space. Understands designing and coding for testability to produce quality code with the lowest cost. Good to have knowledge on UI Path Qualifications/Requirements Masters or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or similar technical degree 5+ years of experience working with distributed systems testing. 4+ years of Experience in automation framework. 2+ years of experience in API testing. Understanding and knowledge of test-driven development concepts Experience in Continuous Integration tools such as Gitlab Desired Characteristics Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies Familiarity with software development life cycles and agile methodologies. Deep understanding of large, complex software systems to help isolate and reproduce defects and assess risk.
