As a Ruby developer at Prasthana Software Solutions, you will be responsible for designing and building Ruby applications, ranging from back-end microservices to data processing scripts. Your role will involve collaborating with the team to ensure the development of high-quality software solutions that meet our clients" needs. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining efficient and reliable Ruby code. You will need to focus on optimizing performance, ensuring quality, and addressing any issues or bugs that may arise. Additionally, you will play a key role in maintaining code quality, organization, and automation processes. To excel in this role, you should possess a strong understanding of Ruby syntax and object-oriented programming concepts. Experience with functional programming in Ruby, as well as familiarity with MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful concepts, will be beneficial. Proficiency in popular web application frameworks like Rails and knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and JQuery are essential. You should be skilled in writing clean and readable Ruby code, with a solid grasp of fundamental design principles for scalable applications. Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, as well as implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests, will be advantageous. Proficient use of code versioning tools like Git and development aiding tools like Rake is expected. Familiarity with continuous integration practices is also a plus. The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience of 4+ years. A combination of education and practical training will be considered.
