Job Title: Mobile Test Automation Engineer (Onsite, Hyderabad)

Responsibilities:

Requirement Gathering & Collaboration

• Skilled in reviewing requirements and providing feedback to ensure clarity, completeness, and testability.
• Experience in understanding and analyzing software project requirements, features, and functionalities to identify automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with manual testers, developers, and product owners to identify test automation candidates.
• Collaborate with QA team members, developers, and DevOps engineers for smooth automation integration.

Designing and Maintaining Framework

• Use existing automation frameworks and follow established standards to write automated scripts.
• Proficiency in using and extending existing test automation frameworks.
• Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of test automation and reporting frameworks.
• Implement data-driven, keyword-driven, or hybrid test approaches if required.

Automation Test Case Development, Scripting & Execution

• Experience in writing detailed, structured, reusable, and maintainable automated test cases following programming best practices.
• Proficiency in covering functional, user-centric, edge-case, positive, negative scenarios in test scripts.
• Ability to identify automation candidates from manual test cases, automate and execute them across devices and OS versions.
• Experience in stabilizing flaky tests and managing test suites via pull requests.
• Experience developing automated tests for regression, smoke, and functional testing.
• Ability to implement data-driven or hybrid approaches and integrate automation test scripts to run as part of CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor, analyze, and interpret test results from CI/CD pipelines or test runners.
• Skilled in refactoring, maintaining and updating scripts in response to application functionality or framework changes.
• Gather test data

Bug Reporting & Troubleshooting

• Experience debugging test failures and performing root cause analysis.
• Debug and troubleshoot automation scripts and report issues.
• Logging defects found during automated test runs with detailed steps, platform info, and verifying fixes post-resolution.
• Capable of identifying and resolving tool-related issues affecting test execution.

Documentation & Reporting

• Ability to document test plans, test scripts, test cases, test execution results, defects and any relevant observations.
• Clear communication of testing outcomes to the team and stakeholders.
