Experience

  • 3+ years in meteorological operations, forecasting, or relevant R&D.
  • Practical experience with WMO/ICAO code forms highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with NWP models (e.g., WRF, COSMO) or ML-based prediction solutions is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in data handling (Python, R, or MATLAB) and statistical analysis for weather/climate datasets.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication: ability to translate complex meteorological concepts for non-scientific stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset: comfortable coordinating with AI/ML teams, hardware engineers, and business leads.
  • Agile and proactive approach: excited to work in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving priorities.

Additional Preferences

  • Experience with parametric insurance triggers, wave modeling, or specialized vertical markets (defense, aviation, agriculture) is a bonus.
  • Published research or known contributions in meteorological forums/papers is a plus.
