Job Description

As a Metallurgy and Metal Alloys professional supporting product development, your role will involve leading or supporting product development and supply chain resiliency programs. You will be responsible for identifying commercially viable and cost-effective solutions, as well as development opportunities for R&D projects. Key Responsibilities: - Design and execute process development strategies in collaboration with suppliers, covering areas such as casting, wrought processing, powder metallurgy, coating, and joining techniques. - Design experiments, perform failure analysis, root cause investigations, and drive continuous improvement using your strong metallurgical knowledge. - Operate and interpret results from analytical tools like SEM, TEM, XRD, UTM, and Fatigue testing. You will be required to build correlations between microstructure and mechanical properties. Qualifications Required: - B Tech in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering with a good academic record and relevant experience in the Electrical, Automotive, or Aerospace industry. - Experience in casting, wrought processing, and joining techniques with a deep understanding of advanced material analysis techniques and physical/mechanical metallurgy across a wide variety of non-ferrous and ferrous Metals (Copper, Aluminum, Steel, Titanium, etc.). - Strong communication skills are essential for sharing a compelling vision, including technical writing and presentation skills. - Knowledge of fractography, metallography, and sample preparation will be beneficial for this role. Additionally, having the following qualifications would be a plus: - M.Tech in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering. - Certification in CQI, API, or equivalent metallurgical audits.
