Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and formulate
metallic raw materials
for dies and precision tools.
Analyze and recommend alloy compositions to meet mechanical strength, wear resistance, and corrosion performance standards.
Collaborate with the R&D and production teams on
new die/tool material innovations
.
Conduct metallurgical failure analysis and suggest improvements in tool performance and durability.
Evaluate and manage
heat treatment processes
, coating, and surface finishing techniques.
Ensure quality compliance with ISO and industry standards for metallurgy.
Work with vendors/suppliers to ensure material specs are met for procurement.

Requirements:

B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in
Metallurgical Engineering
or Materials Science.
3+ years of experience in tool/die metallurgy or related manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of steel grades, tool steels, powder metallurgy, and heat treatment.
Hands-on experience with
spectroscopy, microstructure analysis (SEM/EDX), and hardness testing
.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
