Merchandiser - Home textiles & Soft Toys

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Merchandiser to join our team, specialising in home textiles and soft toys. This role demands complete ownership of the merchandising cycle — from product development and sampling to order execution — for both domestic and international clients. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and buyer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage buyer communication.
• Coordinate development of new samples and new buyer requirements
• Review buyer tech packs/briefs and ensure accurate execution of prototypes, samples, and bulk orders.
• Prepare and manage Time & Action (T&A) calendars to ensure timely approvals, production, and dispatch.
• Collaborate with design, sourcing, production, and QA teams for smooth sampling and production workflows.
• Prepare costings, negotiate pricing, and oversee approvals for fabrics, trims, accessories, and packaging.
• Work closely with QA to conduct internal checks and coordinate inline and final inspections.
• Maintain detailed documentation such as buyer communications, trackers, approvals, and reports.
• Stay updated on global trends to support collection development and new product ideas.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Textiles, Fashion Merchandising, Toys Design, or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in merchandising — preferably with home textiles or baby products
• Familiarity with production processes (cutting, stitching, embroidery, stuffing, packaging).
• Excellent communication skills in English (written & verbal) for buyer interaction.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, documentation, and merchandising tools.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Work Schedule

• 6 days/week (Monday to Saturday)
• On-site, full-time role

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
