About the role:

The candidate should have a sound understanding of human psychology and the types of therapies used to treat mental disorders. Ideal candidates should be compassionate problem solvers who feel comfortable collaborating with other mental health experts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing training to all the co-workers, Mothers/Aunts on Mental Health
  • Collecting and interpreting information to perform assessments and diagnoses.
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans for a range of mental illnesses such as anxiety, depression, personality, and behavioral disorders, phobias, post-traumatic stress, and more.
  • Monitoring progress and liaising with other healthcare professionals to adjust treatment plans as required.
  • Facilitating group and one-on-one counseling sessions.
  • Maintaining detailed notes for all co-workers in his/her care.
  • Scheduling meetings with caregivers to discuss treatment plans and appropriate management techniques.
  • Observing the appropriate workplace and health and safety guidelines at all times.
  • Following a prescribed healthcare plan, which may include assisting with exercise and other medical activities.
  • Providing emotional support and encouragement to perform necessary tasks.
  • Monitoring and reporting changes in health, behavior, and needs.
  • Working knowledge of clinical diagnoses for mental health population
  • Computer literacy and ability to conduct data entry
  • Assess co-workers, Mothers/Aunts by discussing their mental health conditions with them.
  • Provide support to them and understand the source of disorders.
  • Conduct one-on-one sessions.
  • Prepare records and maintain them effectively.



Candidate Profile:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related discipline
  • Master’s degree in psychology, social Work, counseling, or a related field may be advantageous.
  • Certified Mental Health Professional (CMHP) certification or similar may be required.
  • A sound understanding of various therapy types, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Gestalt therapy, multimodal therapy, and more.
  • Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) License is mandatory
  • Working knowledge of software such as TherapyNotes, ShareNotes, and Procentive may be advantageous.

 


Experience Required:

  • Experience working with vulnerable youth or in residential care settings preferred
  • Minimum of 11-12 years as a Mental health care professional

The incumbent must commit to the organization's Child Protection Policy and ensure its implementation in all fundraising and communication activities.
