Project Engineer: Water Treatment Plant

Job Description: Project staff in a Water Treatment Plant are responsible for supporting the successful planning, execution, and completion of water treatment projects. They play an integral role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of the plant, from project initiation to the final stages of implementation. Their primary responsibilities include assisting with the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment used for water purification, as well as ensuring compliance with environmental standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

 Project Planning & Coordination: Assist in the planning and coordination of water treatment projects, ensuring that all milestones and deadlines are met.

 Site Management: Oversee day-to-day operations at project sites, ensuring work is carried out according to safety standards and environmental regulations.

 Installation & Commissioning Support: Assist with the installation, commissioning, and testing of water treatment plant equipment, such as filtration systems, pumps, and valves.

 Operation & Maintenance: Provide support for the ongoing operation and maintenance of water treatment systems, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.

 Quality Control: Monitor water quality at different stages of treatment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and quality parameters.

 Technical Support: Provide technical assistance during troubleshooting and the resolution of mechanical or operational issues.

 Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project progress, equipment installations, maintenance schedules, and water quality tests. Prepare regular progress reports for project managers.

 Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all project activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

 Vendor Coordination: Assist with liaising with suppliers and contractors, ensuring that materials and services are delivered on time and meet the necessary specifications.

 Training & Knowledge Sharing: Assist in training plant operators and other staff on the operation and maintenance of water treatment equipment.

Required Skills & Experience:

 Technical Expertise: Knowledge of water treatment processes (such as filtration,

RO, or sewage treatment) and related equipment (pumps, valves, filters, etc.).

 Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues

in a timely and efficient manner.

 Project Management: Experience with project coordination, including managing

timelines, resources, and documentation.

 Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team

environment.

 Attention to Detail: Strong focus on ensuring high standards in both operational

performance and regulatory compliance.

 Health and Safety Awareness: Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations

in the water treatment and construction industry.

Educational Qualifications:

 A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil

Engineering, or a related field.

 Additional certifications in water treatment or related areas are a plus.

Experience:

 3-5 years of experience in water treatment plant operations or related industries.

 Prior experience in handling water treatment equipment, such as pumps, valves,

filtration systems, and chemical dosing systems, is preferred.

 Can coordinate with the head office and project site.

 Can handle the project independently

 Can travel anywhere in India.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹54,113.57 per month
