Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop detailed HVAC system BIM models (ductwork, piping, equipment, etc.) using Revit or other BIM software.
  • Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing models to identify and resolve clashes.
  • Prepare and manage HVAC layout drawings, sections, and schedules for design and construction documentation.
  • Support mechanical design engineers by translating design intent into accurate, buildable BIM models.
  • Ensure that all BIM content, templates, and families follow project and company standards.
  • Participate in BIM coordination meetings and implement updates from clash detection sessions (e.g., Navisworks).
  • Perform quantity take-offs and assist in cost estimation from BIM models.
  • Maintain up-to-date BIM documentation, version control, and project data integrity.
  • Support the implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and adhere to client BIM requirements (LOD, naming conventions, etc.).
  • Collaborate with site teams to provide as-built models and ensure smooth model-to-field coordination.


Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 4 to 5 years of experience in mechanical building services (HVAC) with proven BIM/Revit expertise.
  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks; familiarity with Dynamo, BIM 360, or other BIM platforms is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC system design principles, load calculations, and mechanical components.
  • Knowledge of relevant international building codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc.).
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills across disciplines.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.


Preferred Skills :

  • Experience in parametric family creation and Revit content management.
  • Familiarity with energy modeling or simulation tools (e.g., IES VE, HAP, Trace 700).
  • Exposure to Clash detection and model auditing tools (Navisworks Manage, Solibri, etc.).
  • Understanding of LOD (Level of Development) standards and BIM workflows for construction and facility management.
  • Experience in BIM documentation for LEED or sustainable projects is a plus.
