Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly review meetings with the maintenance team, convey weekly goals and targets to be achieved by the team

• Prepare preventive maintenance plan in consultation with the plant head, Electrical Team, Instrumentation team and other senior plant personnel and ensure that the plan is followed, Design and train operation team for autonomous maintenance.

• Keep track of the critical spare parts of the machines and the consumables in the inventory and raise indents to maintain the minimum inventory limits.

• Respond to emergencies, escalate major breakdowns to management and manage the emergency to the best of ability

• Plan for and ensure tools, material and parts availability for maintenance work completion; ensure appropriate tools and PPEs are being used by the maintenance technicians

• Ensure healthy and safe working environment for the maintenance technicians

• Contribute in the preparation of the Root Cause Analysis along with the Sr. Engineer and Engineer to identify the real issues in breakdown and draft SOPs considering the same to repeat the breakdowns

• Lead the project and successfully implementation TPM / TQM / WCM at shopfloor.

• Monitor the team in terms of quality of maintenance work done, cost involved, productivity, timeliness and adherence to SOP / SWI and safety norms while they are performing the maintenance activities

• Contribute to the planning of the shutdown phase and plan activities to do be done in consultation with all Stakeholders well in advance and distribute tasks to the team accordingly
