Role Objective

To lead the mechanical maintenance and engineering functions at the Alwar chemical plant, ensuring high equipment reliability, minimal downtime, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee the mechanical maintenance of plant equipment such as pumps, compressors, reactors, heat exchangers, and rotary/ static equipment.

Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance programs.

Ensure optimal performance and availability of utility systems (boilers, chillers, compressors, etc.).

Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives in mechanical systems and processes.

Monitor and control maintenance budgets and ensure cost-effective operations.

Maintain statutory compliance related to mechanical engineering (pressure vessels, cranes, lifting equipment, etc.).

Manage and lead a team of engineers and technicians; ensure proper training, mentoring, and performance reviews.

Coordinate with production, electrical, instrumentation, and safety teams to support plant operations.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, maintenance records, and reports.

Liaise with OEMs, vendors, and contractors for AMC, spare procurement, and project work.

Desired Candidate Profile:

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (preferably from a reputed institute).

15-25 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in process/chemical/petrochemical industries.

Strong expertise in rotary and static equipment maintenance.

Hands-on experience in plant turnarounds and shutdowns.

Knowledge of TPM, RCA, FMEA, and other reliability tools is a plus.

Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Exposure to SAP or any CMMS system is an added advantage.
