Job Title: Mechanical Head Location: Alwar, Rajasthan Company: Lords Chloro Alkali Ltd Experience: 15 to 25 years Department: Engineering / Maintenance Reports To: Plant Head --- Role Objective To lead the mechanical maintenance and engineering functions at the Alwar chemical plant, ensuring high equipment reliability, minimal downtime, and adherence to safety and compliance standards. --- Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee the mechanical maintenance of plant equipment such as pumps, compressors, reactors, heat exchangers, and rotary/ static equipment. Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance programs. Ensure optimal performance and availability of utility systems (boilers, chillers, compressors, etc.). Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives in mechanical systems and processes. Monitor and control maintenance budgets and ensure cost-effective operations. Maintain statutory compliance related to mechanical engineering (pressure vessels, cranes, lifting equipment, etc.). Manage and lead a team of engineers and technicians; ensure proper training, mentoring, and performance reviews. Coordinate with production, electrical, instrumentation, and safety teams to support plant operations. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, maintenance records, and reports. Liaise with OEMs, vendors, and contractors for AMC, spare procurement, and project work. --- Desired Candidate Profile: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (preferably from a reputed institute). 15-25 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in process/chemical/petrochemical industries. Strong expertise in rotary and static equipment maintenance. Hands-on experience in plant turnarounds and shutdowns. Knowledge of TPM, RCA, FMEA, and other reliability tools is a plus. Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills. Based on part drawings, create machine programs for punch presses and laser cutting machines. Hierarchical and functional links : Reports hierarchically to the mechanical/head of the design office in India. Functional relationships with the technician in France. Main activities : Convert the vector image file (DXF) to the need, and if necessary, create the DXF by using drawing software. Create programs by optimizing/creating tools and sheet sizes. Maintain the punch press tool inventory and laser cutting specification in the database. Responsibility and Authority : Work in accordance with procedures, in case of difficulties, refer to the supervisor. Work in accordance with the companys code of ethics. Respond to requests with a programmed solution within the specified quality / deadlines. Skills and/or knowledge: Technician in mechanical and manufacturing.
