Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team, specializing in the design and execution of water and wastewater treatment projects. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of mechanical systems and have a proven ability to translate project specifications and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) into precise, actionable engineering drawings. This is a role for a top-tier candidate with exceptional technical proficiency and a meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and engineering of mechanical systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities, including piping, pumps, filtration units, and other related equipment.
  • Generate detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Accurately create comprehensive drawings and documentation by reading and interpreting project specifications, including the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), to ensure all components are accounted for.
  • Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams (civil, process, and electrical engineers) to ensure design integration and project success.
  • Review and approve vendor drawings, submittals, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
  • Conduct technical calculations for system sizing, pressure losses, and material selection.
  • Ensure all work adheres to relevant engineering codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in the design of mechanical systems within the water or wastewater treatment industry.
  • Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks is mandatory. Candidates will be assessed on their ability to produce perfect-level, production-ready drawings.
  • Demonstrable experience in reading, interpreting, and generating engineering drawings directly from a Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical equipment, fluid dynamics, and process flow diagrams.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
  • A strong portfolio of previous work, showcasing the ability to handle complex projects from conception to completion, is highly valued.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹18,000.00 per month
