Accountant

Job Summary

Continental Engineering is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Experienced Accountant to join our team. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who is ready to take on a key role in our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be a hard worker with a solid foundation in accounting principles and a proven ability to manage complex financial data with precision and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Conduct detailed analysis of financial data and provide strategic insights to management.
• Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations.
• Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and comply with company policies and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support project-based accounting and financial reporting needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-5 years of proven experience in an accounting role, preferably within the engineering or construction industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards and procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• CPA certification or progress towards certification is a plus.
