Mechanical Engineer – HVAC (Pharmaceutical Industry)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in HVAC systems for pharmaceutical facilities. The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years of hands-on experience working specifically in the pharma industry, with deep knowledge of HVAC design, operation, qualification, and compliance with cGMP norms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operation & Maintenance:
• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems including AHUs, chillers, ducting, cleanrooms, BMS systems, and utilities relevant to pharma-grade environments.
• Design & Installation:
• Participate in or lead HVAC system design and installation for new pharmaceutical projects or facility upgrades.
• Ensure designs meet regulatory and industry standards (ISO 14644, cGMP, US FDA, EU GMP, etc.).
• Validation & Qualification:
• Assist in the qualification and validation of HVAC systems including IQ, OQ, and PQ documentation in line with pharma regulatory requirements.
• Compliance & Documentation:
• Ensure all HVAC systems comply with regulatory standards and audit requirements.
• Prepare and maintain all necessary documents including SOPs, deviation reports, CAPAs, and change controls.
• Energy Efficiency & Optimization:
• Monitor system performance and drive energy efficiency improvements without compromising on cleanroom requirements.
• Coordination & Communication:
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including QA, production, and validation during projects and maintenance activities.

Requirements:

• Education:
• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience:
• 4 to 6 years of exclusive experience in the pharmaceutical industry (HVAC mandatory)
• Technical Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems in regulated environments
• Familiarity with BMS, cleanroom classifications, HEPA filters, laminar flow systems, etc.
• Understanding of pharma facility design, air change rates, differential pressures, and temperature/humidity control.
• Regulatory Knowledge:
• Working knowledge of GMP, WHO, USFDA, MHRA, EU GMP guidelines
• Soft Skills:
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in teams

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
