GOKHALE ENTERPRISES PRIVATE LIMITED specializes in the design and manufacture of Dredgers and Desilting Equipment. We also provide contract Dredging Services and are suppliers of Slurry Pump Components.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Draftsman with strong knowledge of SolidWorks CAD Software to prepare detailed engineering drawings and 3D models for mechanical components and systems. The candidate will work closely with the design and engineering manager translate concepts into accurate fabrication and assembly drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create 2D and 3D mechanical drawings, assemblies, and layouts using SolidWorks.
• Prepare fabrication, machining, and assembly drawings with complete dimensions and tolerances.
• Maintain and update drawing libraries and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
• Work with engineers to develop detailed designs from conceptual sketches and specifications.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, company drafting practices, and quality requirements.
• Revise and update existing drawings as per design changes or client feedback.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Production, and Quality personnel to resolve design / drawing-related issues.
• Manage CAD data, version control, and document control systems.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Drafting/Design.
• 3 – 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Draftsman, preferably in heavy equipment, marine, or steel fabrication industries.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (part modeling, assemblies, sheet metal, weldments, and drafting).
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), Fabrication Standards, and Manufacturing Processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Additional Attributes:

• Experience in Marine Equipment, Boats, or Shipyard Projects.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or other CAD software.
• Understanding of PDM (Product Data Management) and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management).
