Mechanical Design Engineer Job Description: We are looking to hire a talented mechanical design engineer. The primary responsibility of this position is to be involved in the design and development of new products in accordance with market demands. To be a successful mechanical design engineer, you should be mathematically and mechanically minded and have strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. A top-notch mechanical design engineer should possess detailed knowledge of engineering and design principles and be able to find creative solutions to technical problems. Experience:- minimum 5 to 7 years proven experience in product design and development. Experience in similar industries will be a huge advantage. Mechanical Design Engineer’s Role & Responsibilities :- Coordination with design teams to determine mechanical applications and requirements. Conducting research to inform the design and engineering methods required for the mechanical systems. Planning and executing mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and Solidworks. Performing computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine the designs. Overseeing the development and manufacturing of physical prototypes for testing. Documenting the design process, iterations, and test analytics. Managing project timelines, resources, and budgets. Liaising with designers, engineers, and manufacturers to ensure coherence. Preparing technical reports, design specifications documents, and operational manuals. Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in technology, design trends, and engineering best practices. Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:- Bachelor's or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, product design, Industrial design or a related field. PE certification is advantageous. Proficiency with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD, Solidworks and other relevant design software. Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Exceptional time management and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Attentive to detail and critically minded. The ability to stay abreast of advancements in technology and engineering design trends.
