Diploma in Tool & Die Making & Mold Design/Degree in mechanical engineering

Key Purpose Role-

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing electromechanical products using 3D CAD software (Solid works/ Creo /AutoCAD fusion 360/Catia. 

Product Design –

• Design and development of electromechanical products to meet customer/standards/Tooling/Molding/Production requirements.
• Perform analysis (Tolerance, FMEA, Molding and tooling, Structural, Safety and other internal requirements
• Provide support through all phases of the product life-cycle from proposal, to conceptual design, design development, assembly, test, and production.
• Conduct feasibility studies and analyze design concepts for performance, manufacturability and cost effectiveness
• Oversee the prototype process and collaborate with cross functional team to build prototypes
• Determine and develop creative approaches, improvements, or solutions to problems.
• Develop and maintain state-of-the-art skills in activities related to requirements, design, evaluation, and testing of electronics packaging.
• Interpret analytical results, assess design margins, prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Communicate with line management, inter-organizational personnel, and other points of contact to scope, plan, and resolve technical issues.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed (Analysis, Test reports, Lesson learnt)
• Develop and refine product design methodologies and practices
• Studies engineering and technical publications to keep abreast of technological changes and developments in industry.

Documentation-

• Create detailed technical reports and/or presentations of product design with illustrations.
• Create product design documentation.
• Develop and maintain accompanying technical documentation.
• Maintain documentation for all projects to the required standards of the organization.
• Process and drawing document alteration requests, or equivalent engineering change process.
