We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who has a passion for creating innovative mechanical designs and turning ideas into reality.

Role Summary:

The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for developing 3D models, detailed drawings, and mechanical designs for industrial machinery and components. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of SolidWorks (Mandatory) and AutoCAD, along with an understanding of engineering fundamentals, materials, and manufacturing processes.

This role offers the opportunity to work on complete design cycles — from concept to manufacturing — for heavy engineering and industrial machinery.

Key Responsibilities:1. Product & Component Design:

• Design and develop mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for fabrication and assembly.
• Ensure designs meet functional, performance, and safety requirements.
• Modify and improve existing designs for better efficiency and manufacturability.

2. Drafting & Documentation:

• Prepare accurate BOMs (Bill of Materials) and engineering documentation.
• Maintain revision control and ensure version consistency for all design files.
• Coordinate with production, purchase, and quality teams to ensure design intent is met.
• Create installation and assembly documentation for manufacturing support.

3. Design Validation & Analysis:

• Conduct basic calculations for strength, fits, and tolerances.
• Perform interference checks, motion studies, and load analysis in SolidWorks.
• Participate in prototype reviews and design validation activities.

4. Collaboration & Process Improvement:

• Work closely with the R&D, production, and service departments to implement design changes.
• Support manufacturing with technical clarifications and design assistance.
• Participate in continuous improvement and value engineering initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
• Experience: 0–3 years in Design / Drafting / Product Development (Freshers with strong design software skills are welcome).
• Technical Skills:
• SolidWorks – Mandatory (Part Modeling, Assembly, Drafting, and Sheet Metal Design).
• AutoCAD – Strong 2D drafting and layout preparation skills.
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and machine design principles.
• Understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and materials.
• Soft Skills:
• Detail-oriented, creative, and analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple design tasks within timelines.
