Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer – SPM (Experienced)
Location: Mohali, Punjab
Job Type: Full-Time
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in designing Special Purpose Machines (SPM)
Qualification: Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)

Key Skills Required

• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks
• Expertise in Sheet Metal Design
• Experience in designing Special Purpose Machines (SPMs)
• Good understanding of Laser Cutting, Bending, and Fabrication processes
• Ability to design custom parts, mechanisms, and assemblies
• Strong vendor coordination and project follow-up skills

Job Responsibilities

• Design machine parts, mechanisms, and sheet metal assemblies for SPMs
• Create, review, and release accurate manufacturing drawings
• Coordinate with the development team, vendors, and fabrication units for smooth execution
• Conduct feasibility checks and apply design-for-manufacturing principles
• Plan sheet metal layouts for laser cutting, bending, fabrication, and assembly
• Reverse-engineer physical components or assemblies when required
• Take proactive ownership from concept design to final build
• Support on-site activities for installation and commissioning when needed
• Ensure adherence to quality standards during part development and assembly

Ideal Candidate

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in SPM or custom machine design
• Strong mechanical design fundamentals and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and team coordination
• Willing to handle responsibility and project ownership
