Mechanical Design Engineer

As a Design Engineer specializing in Sheet Metal, your role will involve designing sheet metal components and assemblies using SolidWorks. You will be responsible for creating accurate manufacturing drawings and planning sheet metal layouts for laser cutting, bending, and fabrication processes. Your ability to reverse-engineer from physical objects or models will be crucial in this role. You will take ownership of the complete development process from design to build and coordinate with fabrication and assembly teams for accurate and timely execution. Additionally, you will conduct site visits for pre-design assessment and final execution/installation. Key Responsibilities: - Design sheet metal components and assemblies using SolidWorks - Create and release accurate manufacturing drawings - Plan sheet metal layouts for laser cutting, bending, and fabrication - Ability to reverse-engineer from physical objects or models - Take ownership of the complete development process from design to build - Coordinate with fabrication and assembly teams for accurate and timely execution - Conduct site visits for pre-design assessment and final execution/installation Qualifications Required: - Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field As an ideal candidate for this role, you should be a Diploma holder with strong design fundamentals, eager to learn and grow in a hands-on engineering environment. Good team coordination and communication skills are essential, as well as a willingness to travel occasionally for site visits. Please note that the job type is Full-time, Permanent.
