Mechanical Design Engineer

· 3D Modeling & Drafting

Candidate must have 5 Years Experience in Solidworks, who can work independently for Project management, Design Input to Product output.

· Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and subassemblies using Solidworks.

· Prepare 2D manufacturing drawings, GD&T symbols, and BOMs as per industry standards.

· Ensure models/drawings comply with customer, company, and regulatory standards.

· Product Design & Development

· Conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical components, tools, jigs, and fixtures.

· Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, weight, and performance.

· Conduct tolerance stack-up studies and design calculations.

· Design Review & Validation

· Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback.

· Perform basic FEA, interference checks, and motion analysis within Solidworks.

· Work with simulation teams for advanced validation (stress, thermal, fatigue).

· Collaboration & Cross-functional Support

· Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to ensure feasibility.

· Provide design support during prototyping, testing, and manufacturing stages.

· Coordinate with suppliers/vendors for DFM (Design for Manufacturing) inputs.

· Change Management & Documentation

· Manage and update design revisions, ECOs/ECNs (Engineering Change Orders/Notices).

· Maintain proper documentation in PLM/PDM systems (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill).

· Ensure compliance with ISO/AS9100 or industry-specific standards.

· Innovation & Continuous Improvement

· Propose new ideas for cost reduction, efficiency, and performance improvement.

· Stay updated on the latest Solidworks features, design standards, and best practices.

· Automate repetitive design tasks using templates, macros, or knowledge-based engineering tools.

· Customer & Project Support

· Understand customer requirements and translate them into engineering designs.

· Support project managers with technical inputs, timelines, and risk identification.

· Provide technical support during installation, testing, and troubleshooting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
