Mechanical Design Engineer (Conveyors)

· Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for conveyors and material handling equipment.

· Create 2D drawings and 3D models using design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo.

· Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection.

· Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials), technical documentation, and design reports.

· Collaborate with electrical and automation teams for integrated design solutions.

· Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.

· Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for fabrication feasibility, costing, and material availability.

· Support manufacturing, assembly, installation, and commissioning activities.

· Conduct design reviews, value engineering, and continuous improvements.

· Provide technical support in resolving design and production-related issues.

Key Skills Required:

· Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.

· Proficiency in SolidWorks /Solid Edge/ Inventor / Creo / AutoCAD.

· Experience in sheet metal design, fabrication, machining, and welding processes.

· Understanding of conveyor systems, material handling equipment, or special purpose machines (SPMs).

· Knowledge of design standards and safety compliance.

· Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

· 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in conveyors, material handling, or manufacturing industry.
