About The Opportunity
We are hiring an experienced Consultant Physician (MD/DNB) in Internal Medicine to lead clinical care for adult inpatients and contribute to high-quality outpatient services. You will manage complex medical cases, guide junior clinicians, and work closely with allied specialties to ensure safe, timely, and compassionate care.Role & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive clinical care for adult medical inpatients and OPD consultations—diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up.
- Lead daily ward rounds, triage critically ill patients, and coordinate escalation to ICU or specialist teams when needed.
- Perform bedside procedures and ensure adherence to safety protocols for invasive interventions.
- Supervise, mentor, and train junior doctors, residents, and nursing staff; contribute to clinical teaching rounds.
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation, produce discharge summaries, and ensure compliance with clinical governance and hospital protocols.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, morbidity & mortality reviews, quality improvement projects, and guideline implementation.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MD or DNB in Internal Medicine with an active Indian medical registration (NMC/State Medical Council).
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification clinical experience managing adult medical and acute/critically ill patients (inpatient/ICU exposure).
- Proven competence in common bedside procedures and emergency management; valid ACLS/BLS certification preferred.
Preferred
- Experience in tertiary-care or multi-specialty private hospital settings and working within multidisciplinary teams.
- Prior experience supervising residents and participating in academic teaching, audits, or quality-improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with hospital EMR systems, clinical protocols, and infection-control practices.
