Master Data Engineer

We are looking for a motivated Associate – Master Data professional to join our team in Mumbai. In this role, you will contribute to creating and maintaining high-quality product and spare part information that supports power plant uptime and strengthens our aftermarket service offering.

• Perform efficient spare parts assortment, information compilation, and diagnostics to support repair and maintenance activities.
• Understand component, sub-assembly, and system-level layouts to develop and document optimized spare part solutions for technical repairs.
• Conduct internal technical reviews related to Spare Parts, Repair Methods, and Standard Times to ensure consistency and data accuracy.
• Work with Product Data Management (PDM) systems, Bill of Materials (BOM), and SAP to maintain product data integrity.
• Analyze and resolve engineering deviations, improvement suggestions, and customer inquiries related to service parts.
• Collaborate with global colleagues and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient data updates and communication.
• Ability to analyze and prepare power plant maintenance reports for auxiliary systems and components.
• Experience with maintenance documentation, inspection data, and reporting tools related to plant auxiliaries.
• Understanding of maintenance intervals, condition monitoring, and data improvement related to auxiliary equipment.
• Capability to identify optimization opportunities in maintenance data and suggest corrective actions.
• Knowledge of technical documentation standards and compliance for auxiliary equipment.

• Education:

  Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering

  or a related field.
• Experience:

  2–4 years of relevant experience in product data, spare parts, or master data management (preferably in the power or energy sector).

• Strong understanding of mechanical products, BOMs, and technical drawings.
• Experience working with SAP, PDM systems, and MS Office tools (especially Excel).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and learning mindset.
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English, as you will interact with global teams and suppliers.
