Job Description

Hiring a Marketing Strategist (the connector). (Remote, full-time) — for TOAST.Hi, I’m Simran — posting this on behalf of our founder, Aditi. We’re building something intentional at TOAST — and looking for a Marketing Strategist who thinks in systems, stories, and results.


Let’s be clear — this is not a social media manager or content creator role.

We’re looking for someone who can connect brand goals with storytelling and strategy. Someone who understands how a brand should show up online — and can turn that understanding into actionable direction for content, campaigns, and growth.


This isn’t your typical “we’re hiring” post.

This is a we’re-building-something-cool-and-we-need-good-people post.

Marketing Strategist (not an executor)

If you can see how a story becomes a strategy — from awareness to engagement to enquiry — you might be one of us.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys clarity, structure, and impact — someone who can say why something works, not just what should be done.

What you’ll do

  • Develop

    social media strategies

    for TOAST and clients — rooted in tone, positioning, and storytelling.
  • Build

    content frameworks and campaign plans

    that align with business goals.
  • Create and guide content funnels — how audiences move from awareness to conversion.
  • Support brand launches, campaign directions, and creative planning across platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with writers, designers, and branding experts to maintain consistency.
  • Occasionally help shape

    digital marketing plans

    (emails, ads, CRM funnels) — not mandatory, but a plus.

You should have

  • 2–4 years of experience in marketing or brand strategy.
  • Proven ability to create social media plans or campaign decks that connect brand tone with business objectives.
  • Strong understanding of storytelling, audience behavior, and community building.
  • Experience working with cross-functional creative teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills — clarity is key.

Proficiency in (preferred, not mandatory):

Google Workspace, Notion or ClickUp (for planning), and a basic understanding of tools like Meta Ads Manager or email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot) — only if you’ve used them as part of strategy or research.
