Title: Job Description – Market Development Manager at Kohler Co.

Introduction:

At Kohler Co., we are a leading global manufacturer in the plumbing industry, known for our high-quality products, innovative designs, and commitment to customer satisfaction. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Market Development Manager.

Job Purpose:

This role exists to Strengthen the dealer network by developing an on boarding new dealers in line with Kohler’s store expansion targets.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Scouting for new store in the assigned catchment areas within the territory
  • Pitching to potential dealers and influence them to be a part of the Kohler dealership network
  • Co-ordinate with internal teams for execution to ensure appropriate store design and timely launch
  • Onboarding – Ensure successful onboarding of dealer; including onboarding on Kohler’s internal IT systems (KIOSC, SDFC etc.) and SOPs of Kohler’s Dealer policies
  • Co-ordination with Learning team to ensure training of dealer, dealer staff and store promoter (if applicable)
  • Coordinate and arrange activities for showroom opening event – show & tell events, plumber visits, joint calls to specifiers etc.
  • Handover to mainline sales teams after execution. Ensure adequate knowledge transfer and transfer of relationship to the mainline teams.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • 5-7 years sales management experience.
  • Must possess strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Mature, self-driven and result oriented.
  • Must be willing to travel throughout the assigned region.
  • MBA – Sales / Marketing qualification preferred or graduate with at least 5-7 years of experience.
