Role Overview
We are seeking experienced marine professionals (2nd Officers, 1st Officers, Chief Mates, or those with sailing experience) who are looking to transition to a rewarding shore-based role in Delhi. As a Technical Proposal Associate in our Business Development team, you will leverage your domain knowledge of maritime operations, navigation, and safety systems to support the creation of compelling and compliant technical and commercial proposals.

This is an excellent opportunity for officers who want to apply their practical expertise in a corporate environment, while contributing to the advancement of maritime training and technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply maritime operational knowledge to prepare accurate and credible compliance matrices and solution descriptions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Product, Legal, Finance) to provide marine-specific inputs and validate technical content.
  • Draft, review, and edit technical and commercial proposals, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and customer focus.
  • Maintain and update databases of company profiles, certifications, case studies, and technical descriptions relevant to the maritime industry.
  • Track proposal timelines, submissions, and assist with clarifications during post-submission stages.
  • Contribute to process improvements in proposal preparation and documentation.

Skills & Competencies Required

  • Strong grasp of maritime operations, navigation, and shipboard systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical requirements and convert them into clear, customer-focused documents.
  • Good communication and documentation skills (clarity in English is key).
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working under deadlines.
  • Familiarity with simulation, training, or defense procurement processes is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Qualifications & Experience

  • COC holders / sailing experience as 2nd Officer, 1st Officer, or Chief Mate on merchant vessels.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not mandatory if strong sailing background.
  • Prior exposure to documentation, audits, or report writing during sailing will be valued.
  • Fresh to shore-based roles or up to 2–3 years of shore experience in technical writing, documentation, or tender support.

What We Offer

  • Transition from sea to shore while continuing to contribute to the maritime domain.
  • Structured growth path in business development and proposals.
  • Collaborative work environment with exposure to cutting-edge maritime technology solutions.
