Job Title: Manager/Sr. Manager - Database AdministratorCompany Name: Bajaj BrokingBajaj Broking is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Manager/Sr. Manager - Database Administrator to oversee our database management and operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and security of our database systems. This role involves working closely with IT teams and stakeholders to optimize database performance and ensure data integrity and availability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database technologies and management, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to system enhancements and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the company’s database systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Design and implement database architectures, data models, and security measures.
  • Monitor database performance and conduct tuning for optimal operation.
  • Perform regular backups, restoration, and recovery processes to safeguard data.
  • Develop and enforce database security policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to integrate database systems with applications.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and technical staff.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in database management.
  • Lead database projects and initiatives to improve system efficiency.

Skills Required

  • Strong expertise in database administration for SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or equivalent databases.
  • Proficient in database design, normalization, and performance tuning techniques.
  • Experience with database backup and recovery solutions.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, PL/SQL, or T-SQL.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Tools Required

  • Database management systems like SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL.
  • Monitoring and performance tuning tools such as SolarWinds, Quest Software, or equivalent.
  • Backup and recovery tools for database systems.
  • Data modeling tools such as ERwin, Lucidchart, or similar.
  • IDEs for database development such as SQL Server Management Studio, Oracle SQL Developer.
  • Version control tools for database scripts.
  • Familiarity with cloud databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database) is a plus.
