Job Description – Asst Manager/Manager- Vendor

Vendor Planning & Analysis

 Develop and present a monthly plan against targets.

 Coordinate internal checkpoints to ensure alignment with PPC goals.

2. Vendor Process Mapping

 Document process flows: vendor identification, AVL/non-AVL categorization, lead

and cycle time tracking.

 Analyze transportation lead times and classify across regular vs special modes.

3. Vendor Selection & Onboarding

 Research and evaluate potential vendors (pricing, type, AVL status).

 Initiate vendor onboarding in line with PPC schedules and project timelines.

4. Monthly Vendor Dashboard Creation

 Capture key milestones: vendor part receipt dates, dispatch schedules, and firm

receipt dates.

 Track parts received awaiting GRN—capture pending statuses with dates and delay

days.

5. QC & GRN Bottleneck Tracking

 Monitor parts received but pending QC, with receive dates and delay durations.

6. Advance Vendor Planning for Projects

 Conduct project-specific vendor outreach: pricing, lead times, tooling availability and

costs, AVL status.

 Collate and provide a vendor project charter with detailed timeline to complete parts.

7. PPC & Project Coordination

 Proactively engage PPC team for project details and timelines.

 Synchronize vendor planning with PPC project milestones.

8. Cost Approval & Quotation Management

 Ensure cost approvals are initiated well in advance.

 Solicit at least 3 vendor quotes for comparison and approval from costing team.

9. Payment & Cost Follow-up

 Follow up on pending payments, coordinate with accounting, and close out with

vendors.

10. Root-Cause & Delay Feedback

 Track process delays (vendor, transport, inbound, QC).

 Provide actionable feedback and report issues in Gemba/vendor review meetings.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
